Fatprocess is a server farm where YOU can run anything you want!
It's mainly targeted towards 3D rendering tasks, such as rendering Vue and 3DS Max jobs, however with Windows Remote Desktop and VNC access, you can easily run any sort of custom process or task. Servers are re-imaged after every job, so you don't have to worry about any malicious software left by previous users.
It's also scalable to suit your needs. Pay for only as many nodes as you need.
Also, you only ever pay for time you use. Any time we spend configuring the nodes for your job is free!
Time is billed at a constant $0.15 per ghz per hour. This is lower than even the cheapest renderfarms out there!
With a single 32ghz node, that equates to only $5.25 per hour for a node. One single hour is usually enough to render 90% of jobs short of ultralarge or detailed renders, or animations, and is equivalent to nearly 9 hours on a dual core desktop machine! How good is that.
Our server nodes run Windows Server 08, and are on a CAT5E Gigabit network for ultrafast communication.
There are two basic options for rendering jobs using Vue and 3DS Max:
One - you can buy time on just one node, or only as many nodes as you want - but you have to configure the nodes you pay for, for the task.
Two - you can have us configure your job to run on the ENTIRE array! You still pay $0.15/ghz/hour, so you may only use 15 minutes instead of 3 hours, but the cost is the same. Time however, is greatly reduced!
